Preliminary Itinerary
Such a journey through three countries offers an unforgettable memory. Share with loved ones!
Day 1 | Saturday
Pula – Rovinj (22 nm)
A beautiful sunset passage along the western coast of Istria will start your adventure. You'll pass by the picturesque Brijuni archipelago—the former summer residence of Yugoslav President Tito. Arrival in Rovinj is around 21:00—just when the old town is charming in evening illumination. An essential seaport for merchant ships in the past and part of Italy, today it's one of the most romantic places in Europe, so a late dinner in one of the old town's restaurants will be a perfect start to the getaway.
Day 2 | Sunday
Rovinj – Poreč (25 nm)
Dedicate the morning to exploring Rovinj. Be sure to climb St. Euphemia's Church, the city's symbol, which offers stunning views of the archipelago. Enjoy Italian coffee and the lyric sounds of the Istriot language.
After the tour, set sail. You'll pass by the Lim Channel—a picturesque fjord known for its oyster farms. Here, you can anchor for lunch and swimming. By evening, you'll arrive in Poreč—a city rich in history, where the Byzantine Euphrasian Basilica stands alongside Venetian palazzos.
Day 3 | Monday
Poreč – Umag (25 nm)
The morning begins with a visit to the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO monument with beautifully preserved Byzantine mosaics.
The day's sailing will be peaceful, with opportunities to stop at several secluded bays for swimming. Umag will welcome you to the atmosphere of a medieval seaside town with narrow streets and a cozy waterfront. In the evening, dine at one of the local restaurants specializing in seafood.
Day 4 | Tuesday
Umag – Venice (30 nm)
You have to set sail early to cross the Gulf of Venice. This passage requires special attention to the weather and is best done in the morning when winds are typically lighter. By lunch, you'll see the San Marco bell tower silhouette. Entering the Venetian lagoon is a memorable experience: you'll follow the same route Venetian doges' ships took centuries ago. Mooring at Marina Santa Elena will allow quick access to the city center for your first encounter with Venice.
Day 5 | Wednesday
Venice
We suggest spending the entire day in the city on the water. It is best to start the morning at St. Mark's Square before it fills with tourists. After visiting the Doge's Palace, you can head to the lagoon islands: Murano is famous for its glass, and Burano is known for its lace and colorful houses. In the evening, return to the boat and prepare for the return passage.
Day 6 | Thursday
Venice – Piran (30 nm)
We should set sail early to cross the Gulf and reach Slovenia's Piran by lunch—a small Adriatic gem. This city has preserved Venetian architecture's charm and the atmosphere of a Mediterranean port. Be sure to climb the city walls for panoramic views and visit the central Tartini Square, named after the famous violinist.
Day 7 | Friday
Piran – Pula (28 nm)
It will be the final passage along the Istrian coast. You can stop at one of the bays for the last swim of the journey. Arrival in Pula is planned for 16:00 to complete all formalities comfortably. If time permits, visit the famous Roman amphitheater—one of the best preserved in the world.
Day 8 | Saturday
Pula
You'll have breakfast together and disembark from the yacht by 9 a.m. If you have plans, we can arrange transportation or recommend some good places to make the most of your time.
